Over 4,500 utility and railway workers will receive 20,000 UAH for emergency repair and restoration work carried out in February

Over 4,500 workers in the utilities and railway sectors have started receiving additional payments of 20,000 UAH for work carried out in February 2026 to restore services following Russian attacks.

The government allocated 281.3 million UAH from the state budget reserve for these payments:

  • 90.56 million UAH was directed to the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development to support utility workers and Ukrzaliznytsia staff;
  • 190.74 million UAH was allocated to the Ministry of Energy for workers in the fuel and energy sector.

For work carried out in February, 4,528 specialists from the utilities sector and Ukrzaliznytsia will receive an additional 20,000 UAH.

– Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development.

Kuleba stated that the experimental project provides these payments specifically for frontline workers who restore heating, water, and electricity services.

Within this project, the state provides extra financial support to workers in the energy sector, utilities, and railways who carried out emergency restoration work from January to March this year. Each of them will receive 20,000 UAH.

Earlier, over 4,700 workers received similar payments for work carried out in January.
