The government has decided to allocate UAH 56.6 million in donor aid for one-time payments to families raising children with disability subgroup A, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko reported.
The funds are intended to cover basic needs and daily care for the children.
Over 8,700 families across nine regions – Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia – will receive assistance of UAH 6,500 each.
This is additional targeted support provided through donor funds in cooperation with UNICEF as part of humanitarian and other aid for the civilian population.

Svyrydenko noted that of the total amount, almost UAH 49.9 million came as the main donor funding under this cooperation, while another UAH 6.7 million consists of previously received donor funds in the form of humanitarian aid and resources from the special state budget fund.
Payments will be made through the Pension Fund to recipients’ bank accounts over the coming months.
