Meteorologists from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre warn of stormy winds and frosts in Ukraine in the coming days.
On 7 April, gusts of wind reaching 15–20 m/s are expected in the western regions, corresponding to a Level I, yellow alert.
Frosts are forecast overnight from 7 to 9 April:
- 7 April: frosts from 0 to 3 degrees Celsius on the ground in western, northern, and most central regions; in the air, 0–3 degrees Celsius in Zakarpattia;
- 8 April: frosts of 0–3 degrees Celsius on the ground across Ukraine; in the air, 0–3 degrees Celsius in Zakarpattia, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, and Kharkiv regions;
- 9 April: frosts of 0–3 degrees Celsius on the ground nationwide; in the air, 0–3 degrees Celsius, except for the previously mentioned regions and in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions.
A Level II, orange alert has been issued due to gusty winds, which may cause complications for energy workers, municipal services, and traffic. Frosts also pose a risk to early-blooming fruit trees.
Meteorologists advise taking care outdoors, keeping away from large trees, power lines, and advertising boards.
