The U.S. Department of State has allocated $25 million for programmes aimed at identifying, returning, and rehabilitating Ukrainian children and youth who were forcibly deported by Russia.

According to the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, 20,570 cases of deportation and forced relocation of Ukrainian children have been officially recorded.

The Ministry of Social Policy also noted that hundreds of thousands of children remain under Russian control, without access to international protection.

Within the Bring Kids Back UA programme, 2,061 Ukrainian children have already been returned.
