Ukraine and Bulgaria plan to launch a test passenger rail service this summer, with the train route passing through Romania.
Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, Oleksiy Kuleba, announced this following a meeting on 30 March in Kyiv with Bulgarian Minister of Transport and Communications Korman Ismailov.
In addition to launching the rail service, Ukraine and Bulgaria agreed to cooperate in road transport, the operation of the electronic border queue system, and strengthening maritime safety in the Black Sea.
An intergovernmental agreement on maritime search and rescue is scheduled to be signed this year.
