From 1 April, Ukraine will begin payments of 1,500 UAH as part of a targeted support programme for pensioners and vulnerable groups, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yuliia Svyrydenko, announced.
The aid will be available to:
- pensioners;
- people with disabilities;
- low-income families;
- recipients of basic social assistance;
- internally displaced persons among social benefit recipients;
- large families;
- single mothers.

Funds will be transferred during April to bank accounts or via Ukrposhta, with no additional applications required.
According to Svyrydenko, the programme is designed to support those whose incomes are insufficient to cope with rising fuel prices, which in turn affect the cost of essential goods and services.
