A draft law has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada that proposes banning the use of smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches during lessons.
The purpose of the bill is to reduce student distractions during the learning process and address related issues caused by gadgets.
The author of the draft law, Member of Parliament Heorhiy Mazurashu, noted that similar restrictions are already effectively implemented in the Netherlands, Denmark, and other countries.
Device use would be allowed only for educational and medical needs.
The MP stated that passing the law would help increase respect for teachers and encourage student focus, reducing distractions and other negative effects of gadget use in the classroom.
