The Ukrainian Institute provides grants of up to €8,000 for the promotion of Ukrainian films

The Ukrainian Institute has opened applications for the proMOTION programme, which provides financial support for promoting Ukrainian films on international film markets.

Winners of the competition will receive up to €8,000 for promotional campaigns for their films, which are scheduled to take place between May and August 2026.

The competition is aimed at Ukrainian film companies that:

  • are officially registered in Ukraine;
  • plan to launch a promotional campaign for a feature-length film of any genre and format that is in the final stage of production;
  • hold exclusive property rights to the film;
  • can plan a festival or theatrical release between May and August 2026;
  • have no outstanding debts to the state and are not affiliated with Russia, Belarus, or Iran.

The competition is implemented in cooperation with Eurimages, the European fund supporting co-production, distribution, and exhibition of cinematographic and audiovisual works, established by the Council of Europe.

The application deadline is 29 March 2026 at 23:59 Kyiv time.
