The German company Vollert Anlagenbau GmbH has announced the launch of an investment project in Ukraine to establish a network of housing construction plants. The corresponding memorandum was signed during the International Conference on Ukraine Recovery (URC2024).
This initiative will enable the German company to set up modern production facilities in Ukraine for building affordable mass housing. It is expected to accelerate the reconstruction process and serve as an example for foreign investors to actively invest in the Ukrainian economy.
About the Project
The total production capacity of the entire network is expected to reach up to 1 million square meters of affordable housing per year, utilizing the latest German conveyor technology for producing precast concrete structures for mass construction of residential and other buildings.
The first plant, with a capacity of up to 300,000 square meters of housing (up to 5,000 apartments) annually, will be built by the end of 2024 in the Kyiv region. The contract has received financial support from a consortium of German banks and insurance coverage, including military risks, from the leading German insurer Elmer Hermes. The German side will also transfer technology for recycling construction debris resulting from the destruction of residential buildings for reuse in new construction/renovation. The total investment amount will be €165 million.
We have previously reported that the government is implementing experimental changes to the military registration system.
