In Kyiv, 1,545 apartments with social-standard renovations were purchased using the city budget between 2022 and 2025.
The housing is intended for citizens registered on the housing list, in particular:
- 1,144 apartments were purchased for combat veterans;
- 288 apartments for orphans and children deprived of parental care;
- 113 apartments for internally displaced persons.
In 2022–2024, the Department of Construction and Housing Provision of the Kyiv City State Administration transferred around 300 apartments to district state administrations in Kyiv for further allocation.
It is noted that the apartments not yet allocated are located in buildings with full construction readiness and completed renovations. Developers are currently preparing these properties for commissioning.
After the completion of preparatory work and the assignment of postal addresses, the apartments will be handed over to district state administrations for distribution among eligible citizens.
According to the order of the executive body of the Kyiv City Council dated 31 January 2011 No. 121, district state administrations in Kyiv are responsible for maintaining housing registers and making decisions on housing allocation. Special public commissions operate under these administrations to review such matters.
