In Kyiv, a multi-channel support hotline called “Kyiv Nearby” operates for people facing difficult life circumstances. During its first month of operation, specialists provided 270 social and psychological consultations.
The hotline is designed for people who need additional support, including:
- people with disabilities;
- elderly individuals living alone;
- families raising children with disabilities;
- those experiencing crises or requiring urgent assistance.
Specialists from the Kyiv City Territorial Centre for Social Services provide psychological support and consultations: they listen carefully, help reduce emotional stress, identify priority needs, and explain where to turn next.

Residents can find out how to:
- apply for financial assistance under the city programme “Care. Towards Kyiv Residents”;
- access day care services;
- use transportation to rehabilitation or medical facilities;
- receive in-kind assistance and hygiene products for children and adults with disabilities.
Experts also provide guidance on the city’s social services system, explaining where to apply, which documents to prepare, which forms to submit, and which types of support are available.
