The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has launched an online calculator that enables teachers to accurately calculate their salary, including increases, allowances, and additional payments.
The tool was developed to ensure transparency of payments and to help educators verify the amount of their salary and generate an individual payslip.
Since January 2026, teachers’ salaries have increased by 30%, with the next planned rise of 20% set for September 2026. The calculator allows teachers to compute their total salary including all allowances, such as prestige bonuses and other supplementary payments.
For the MES, it is crucial that local communities pay teachers the increased salary without reducing allowances. The vast majority of communities comply with this standard. The share of communities where the prestige allowance was significantly reduced has dropped to 3%. The ministry continues to work actively with communities to ensure full salary payments. This is why the salary calculator was developed at the request of educators.
