The Ministry of Social Policy, together with the SHERIFF Cyber Academy, has launched the socio-economic CyberBee project, which offers free cybersecurity training for people with disabilities.
The programme is open to individuals with disability groups I and II, including both veterans and civilians.
Participants will receive:
- training from experienced specialists;
- practical skills for working in the IT sector;
- psychological support throughout the course;
- an international certificate;
- assistance with employment after completing the training.
The CyberBee project aims to address two major challenges:
- the number of cyberattacks is increasing, while there is a shortage of qualified specialists who can protect systems;
- in Ukraine, there are over 1.7 million people with disability groups I and II, but fewer than 18% of them are employed. This includes people with congenital or acquired disabilities, as well as veterans returning from the front, who often lack a clear professional future.
Within this pilot project, the state covers the costs of training and certification, enabling participants to acquire a new profession free of charge.
The first 2,000 participants will complete their training at the SHERIFF Cyber Academy. The duration of the course ranges from 6 to 18 months, depending on the participants’ initial level of knowledge.
