In the mobile 112 Ukraine app, two new features have been added. Users can now make video calls to an operator fluent in sign language and automatically share their location with the 112 Service. This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko.

The video call feature is particularly important for people with hearing and speech impairments, as it allows them to explain the situation and request assistance independently.

Automatic location sharing helps to quickly determine the location of an incident if the user does not know the exact address or is unable to provide it.

The Minister emphasised that user data is protected and used exclusively for processing emergency calls in line with national cybersecurity standards.

Since the app’s launch, over 9,200 requests have been received, and the number of downloads has exceeded 326,000.

The app is available for download on iOS and Android.
