In April, the Ukrainian government plans to provide a special payment of UAH 1,500 to pensioners and people receiving social assistance. At least 13 million citizens will receive the payment automatically, without the need for additional applications or documents, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced.
The President also stated that the government is preparing a programme to compensate fuel expenses for consumers of petrol, diesel, and autogas.
The cashback will help Ukrainians partially cover fuel costs due to fluctuations in global fuel prices caused by the war in Iran.
The President instructed Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko to finalise the details of both programmes and present them to the public in the near future.
