French fashion house Louis Vuitton has unveiled a new collection by creative director Nicolas Ghesquière, featuring works by contemporary Ukrainian artist Nazar Streliaiev-Nazarko. The artist announced this on his Instagram account.
Nazar Streliaiev-Nazarko, born in Kharkiv and currently working in Milan, created paintings that became prints for the collection’s clothing. In particular, his 2023 work Paramnesia is reproduced on the items.
For the runway presentation, some details of the images were adapted: one of the lambs in the painting, which in the original is wearing rustic rubber boots, appeared in the collection version wearing luxury boots with the LV (Louis Vuitton) monogram.
On his Instagram page, the artist thanked the fashion house team for their collaboration, noting that it was a memorable and important experience for him.
