Recently, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a resolution titled “On the Implementation of an Experimental Project for Automatic Verification and Checking of Information about Conscripts, Military Personnel, and Reservists,” according to the Ministry of Reintegration. It addresses several important aspects:
Military Registration for Conscripts
Young men aged 17 to 25 must be registered for military service without undergoing a military-medical commission (VLC). This applies to both those residing in Ukraine and those abroad
Document Verification Abroad
Men aged 18 to 60 who are abroad and apply for Ukrainian or foreign passports will have their military registration documents verified through the state electronic system “Trembita.”
Entry into the Register
Young men aged 16 to 25 who reside in Ukraine and apply for a passport will be added to the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Military Personnel, and Reservists (USRCM) without undergoing VLC.
This also applies to those abroad who apply for or receive passports at Ukrainian diplomatic missions.
List of Citizens
A list will be formed of Ukrainian male citizens aged 16 to 60 whose data must be entered into the USRCM and who are subject to military registration.
The draft resolution was developed by the Ministry of Reintegration in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, the State Migration Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These changes are intended to optimize and identify information in the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Military Personnel, and Reservists.
