Ukrainian cultural organisations can receive up to €30,000 to implement international projects under the Culture Helps Solidarity programme. The initiative aims to support the integration of Ukrainian refugees and the reintegration of veterans through culture in cooperation with European partners.
The grant programme provides funding for joint projects between organisations from Ukraine and European Union countries, as well as 13 other partner countries. These are cultural initiatives that promote social cohesion, psychological support and the inclusion of Ukrainians in new communities. These can be educational events, art residencies, exhibitions, festivals, creative workshops, discussion platforms or intercultural exchanges.
The amount of funding depends on the format of the partnership. Up to €20,000 is available for projects in cooperation with one foreign organisation. Initiatives implemented with two or more partners can receive up to €30,000. In addition to financial support, participants will receive mentoring, access to online workshops and offline networking opportunities.
Funds may be used to cover team fees, travel expenses, production, marketing, venue rental, and other operating costs. Projects must be completed by 31 May 2027.
Non-profit organisations officially registered in Ukraine, EU countries, as well as Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Moldova, Armenia or Tunisia are eligible to apply. Applicants are expected to have experience working with issues related to the integration of displaced persons or support for veterans through cultural tools.
Applications will be accepted until 31 March 2026 at 14:00 Kyiv time. The Culture Helps Solidarity programme is co-funded by the European Union as part of the Creative Europe initiative and is implemented by international and Ukrainian partners. The organisers emphasise that support for cultural cooperation is seen as a tool for the long-term integration of Ukrainians into the European space and the restoration of social ties.
