The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a resolution by the Ministry of Social Policy on financing children’s health improvement and recreation in 2026. More than UAH 740 million has been allocated from the state budget for the implementation of the programme.
The funds will be directed towards providing free health improvement for children who require special social attention and support, as well as:
- children of service members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service and the National Guard;
- children of employees of the State Emergency Service and the police;
- children of internally displaced persons;
- children of veterans;
- children of fallen Defenders of Ukraine.
The programme is expected to cover around 30,000 children. Of these, 15,000 will have the opportunity to undergo health improvement and отдых at the Artek International Children’s Centre.
The funding covers accommodation in health improvement facilities, the organisation of recreational activities and related services.
