In January-February 2026, the Kyiv City Centre for Gender Equality, Prevention and Counteraction of Violence processed almost 1,500 calls within the framework of its 24-hour helpline service.

Specialists also provided temporary shelter and crisis support to dozens of women, men and children affected by violence.

According to Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Marina Honda, in the context of the full-scale war, issues of non-discrimination, psychological support and protection of survivors have become increasingly urgent due to social tension, forced displacement and the impact of traumatic experiences.

In addition to individual consultations, the centre organises group sessions. These include art therapy, body-oriented practices, lectures by a sexologist and psychological support groups aimed at strengthening self-esteem and overcoming the consequences of violence.

The 24-hour “Helpline” operates free of charge and confidentially. It can be reached on (044) 272-15-00 from a mobile phone or 15-00 from a landline.

In-person psychological and legal assistance is available at the day social and psychological support centres located at 6-A Raiduzhna Street and 6-A Mykhaila Stelmakha Street, as well as at the Kyiv City Centre for Gender Equality at 20 Yurii Illienko Street.
