The State Employment Service has launched the “Energy Independence of Small Business” programme, offering non-repayable financial support to entrepreneurs. The initiative aims to help small businesses continue operating during power outages and preserve jobs.
Under the programme, sole traders may receive between UAH 7,500 and 15,000, depending on the number of employees.
The funds can be used to purchase generators, batteries, inverters, energy storage systems, solar panels and related equipment, as well as stabilisers and protective devices.
The assistance also covers electricity costs, fuel expenses, and services related to installation, repair and commissioning of equipment.
The programme is available to sole traders registered under Groups 2 and 3 no later than 1 December 2025, who employ at least one staff member and have no outstanding single social contribution arrears.
The support is targeted at entrepreneurs operating in socially important sectors, including catering, grocery retail, pharmacies, private medical practices, construction, repair services, early childhood education, and courier and logistics services.
Applications can be submitted via the Diia portal in the “Entrepreneurship” section by selecting the “Support for Sole Traders on Energy Resilience” service.
After authorisation, applicants must indicate the intended use of the funds and sign the electronic application. The request is then forwarded to the State Employment Service for verification, and the funds are transferred to the Diia Card within 11 working days.
