The European Union has opened applications for the New European Bauhaus Prizes 2026, which support architects, urban planners, designers, artists, engineers, environmentalists and social entrepreneurs from around the world.

The prize provides financial support of up to €30,000:

  • in the New European Bauhaus Champions category, winners may receive €30,000 for first place and €5,000 for second place;
  • in the New European Bauhaus Rising Stars category, first place is awarded €15,000 and second place €5,000;
  • the special Affordable Housing category offers a prize of €20,000.

Laureates will also receive publication and promotion of their projects on official European Union platforms.

Both individual professionals and studios are eligible to apply:

  • in the Champions category, completed projects for Ukraine, EU Member States, Moldova or the Western Balkans may be submitted;
  • the Rising Stars category accepts prototypes and projects under development from young professionals under the age of 30 for the same regions;
  • the New European Bauhaus Water Resilience prize is open to individual professionals and studios for prototypes and projects at the implementation stage developed for Ukraine, EU countries, Moldova or the Western Balkans.

Applications can be submitted via the official link until 17 March 2026, 20:00 Kyiv time.
