The government allocated UAH 94.5 million for additional payments in January to emergency response teams

The Government of Ukraine has allocated UAH 94.5 million for additional payments to employees of emergency recovery teams for January 2026. These workers were involved in eliminating the consequences of large-scale Russian attacks and restoring critical infrastructure during severe winter морозів.

More than 4,700 employees of heat and water supply enterprises, as well as JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”, will receive additional payments for the work performed. Each specialist is entitled to UAH 20,000 in state assistance.

This is a mechanism to support those who ensure the resilience of communities during attacks. These people restore electricity, heating and water in minus 25 degrees Celsius, doing what once seemed impossible.

The funds are allocated from the state budget reserve fund. The total amount of state support for employees of the fuel and energy sector, housing and communal services, and railway transport amounts to UAH 246.4 million. Of this sum, UAH 94.5 million has been directed to the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development, and UAH 151.92 million to the Ministry of Energy.

The payments are предусмотрені for January, February and March 2026 as part of a pilot project supporting emergency recovery workers, approved by Resolution No. 76 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 23 January 2026.

Accrual of payments is carried out by the end of the month following the completion of recovery works. Payments for January are to be made by the end of February.
