From 23 to 27 February 2026, Kyiv will host the citywide blood donation campaign “Pulse of the City”, dedicated to the fourth anniversary of the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The initiative has been organised by the Health Department of the Kyiv City State Administration.

Representatives of the department state that the campaign aims not only to replenish blood reserves in the capital but also to serve as a symbol of solidarity among residents during wartime. The focus is on supporting both military personnel and civilians who require urgent medical assistance following injuries or complex surgeries.

The Director of the Health Department of the Kyiv City State Administration, Tetiana Mostepan, stressed that stable blood reserves are a strategic matter for a major city. Kyiv’s healthcare system operates continuously, and sufficient supplies allow surgeons and intensive care specialists to act without delay.

According to her, a single blood donation can save up to three lives.

Donors will be received at two locations in the capital. Residents will be able to donate blood at 12 Maksyma Berlinskoho Street, near Dorohozhychi metro station, from 8:00 to 15:00, and at 1 Alisher Navoi Avenue, in the dental clinic building, from 8:00 to 14:00.

Donors are required to bring a passport and identification code. Medical professionals recommend following a light diet and refraining from alcohol prior to the procedure.
