Creative Europe Desk Ukraine is announcing a conference in Kyiv in September 2024, dedicated to the cultural heritage sector. The event is expected to be the largest forum of the year for representatives of cultural institutions and professionals in the field of cultural heritage preservation. During the conference, participants will have the opportunity to explore current support opportunities for the sector, learn about the latest initiatives in preserving both tangible and intangible cultural heritage, and participate in workshops, experience exchange sessions, roundtables, and other activities.
This year, the conference will focus on three key areas of cultural heritage:
- Museum and Exhibition Sector: Innovations and best practices in museum and exhibition organization.
- Preservation of Ukraine’s Architectural Heritage: Modern approaches to the protection and restoration of architectural landmarks.
- Library and Archival Affairs: Trends and challenges in the field of libraries and archives.
The conference will be valuable for:
- Representatives of museum, exhibition, and gallery administrations: Both state and private institutions, as well as archives and libraries involved in preserving intangible cultural heritage.
- Grant departments, project teams, and researchers: For those planning to implement projects with grant support.
- Staff of cultural institutions: Museums, galleries, archives, and libraries looking to learn about new funding opportunities, exchange experiences, and establish new partnerships.
- Representatives of government bodies and local authorities: Whose work involves cultural heritage preservation.
- Architects and urban planners: As well as professionals from the construction industry interested in architectural heritage.
- University lecturers: From departments of museology, archival and library science, architectural theory, and architectural design.
The conference will take place on September 5, 2024, in Kyiv. The event will run from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The exact location will be announced closer to the date due to security considerations.
Participation in the event is free, but prior registration is required by September 1. After registration closes on September 2, participants will be selected and invitations will be sent out.
