The Ministry of Health reports that Kyiv and 20 regions have ordered approximately 14,000 doses of the omicron-specific vaccine for free COVID-19 vaccinations.
The vaccine will arrive in Odesa region on August 20. The remaining regions will receive it by August 16. Additionally, 10 regions—Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Rivne, Kharkiv, and Chernivtsi—and Kyiv city have ordered COVID-19 vaccines (Comirnaty by Pfizer) for children.
How is the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines determined?
The vaccine is stored at the national warehouse. Regional Centers for Disease Control and Prevention receive vaccines from the national warehouse based on orders from medical institutions and distribute them to vaccination points. When the vaccine supply at a vaccination point is depleted, it is reordered. Vaccine distribution to the regions occurs regularly, taking into account the stated needs of the regions, which may be adjusted based on the epidemic situation in the area.
How to check if there is vaccine availability at a vaccination point?
In each region, there are vaccination points at medical institutions that offer free vaccinations. Information about the availability of vaccines at these points is updated weekly.
If you are unable to get vaccinated at a vaccination point (https://bit.ly/3X1G5ED), please report the lack of vaccine to the Ministry of Health contact center at 0 800 60 20 19.
We have already mentioned who is required to undergo booster vaccination.
