The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a decision to establish an annual Government Prize for employees of the energy sector. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yuliia Svyrydenko.
The state award is intended to recognise specialists who ensure the functioning of the energy system under martial law, restore networks after shelling, and maintain electricity and heat supply to cities and communities.
The Prize of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will be awarded annually. Up to 50 awards are предусмотрено, each worth UAH 200,000. Funding will be provided from the state budget.
Svyrydenko emphasised that energy workers operate around the clock, often in difficult weather conditions, during морозів and heavy snowfall, as well as in areas affected by missile and drone attacks. The restoration of damaged power lines, substations and other infrastructure frequently takes place at considerable personal risk.
This is an additional expression of gratitude from the state, alongside the monthly bonuses for repair crews that we introduced at the beginning of the year.
