Key points:

  • A trip-tracking feature for school students using a student travel card has been introduced in the Kyiv Digital app.
  • Parents will receive push notifications after each validation of their child’s travel card.
  • A separate section displays trip history with the time and route number.
  • The feature operates with the child’s consent through their personal account.
  • The update is already available on the App Store and Google Play.

A new feature in the Kyiv Digital app allows parents to instantly see when their child uses a student travel card and to view the history of their journeys on public transport.

After each validation of the student travel card on a bus, trolleybus or tram, one of the parents will receive a push notification with real-time information about the trip.

The app also includes a dedicated trip history section where users can check the time of validation and the route number, helping parents monitor their child’s movements throughout the day.

For parents to use the new feature, the child must provide consent through their Kyiv Digital account.

In the student travel card settings, it is necessary to add one parent’s phone number in the “Permission to view trips” field. Once confirmed, the information is automatically synchronised with the parent’s profile.

The updated version of the app is already available for download on the App Store and Google Play.
