Two family-type children’s homes from the Kharkiv and Sumy regions have received permanent housing in the Chernivtsi region. The Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine announced the development.
The families, who relocated to Bukovyna because of the war, were provided with homes in the town of Storozhynets and the village of Velykyi Kuchuriv.
In Storozhynets, a house was allocated to the family of Oleksii Odynokov and Larysa Kutuzian, who moved from Kharkiv. The couple are raising eight children.
The property was purchased for UAH 5 million from the state budget, with an additional UAH 500,000 provided by the Storozhynets community. A further UAH 1.2 million for renovation works was allocated by the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration.
The furnishing of the home was supported by the NGO “Social Synergy”, UNICEF’s Representation in Ukraine, and the charitable foundations “Artania Ukraine” and “Partnership for Every Child”.





A house in Velykyi Kuchuriv was purchased for the family of Serhii and Alla Koniev, who are also raising eight children. They relocated to Bukovyna from the Sumy region.
According to the Ministry of Social Policy, the region received a state budget subvention of nearly UAH 6 million to purchase this house.
