On 14 February, pilot deployment of 5G technology began in Kharkiv. The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine announced the launch.
The first to test the new connection in the city were newlyweds Vladyslav and Kateryna. On Valentine’s Day, they registered their marriage through the Diia application using the 5G network.


Kharkiv has become the third city in Ukraine where fifth-generation mobile communication is being tested. In January 2026, 5G was launched in Lviv and in Borodianka in the Kyiv region. The network is expected to be expanded to other cities across Ukraine in due course.
5G technology provides data transmission speeds of around 500 Mbps, minimal signal latency and a stable connection.
