Parents with multiple children from different marriages will be able to apply for a deferral in “Reserve+”

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has begun beta testing an updated option for obtaining a deferment from mobilisation for parents of large families through the “Reserve+” application. The new feature will allow a deferment to be granted regardless of the marital status of the father or mother, provided they are raising three or more children under the age of 18.

Previously, only parents whose children were born within one marriage could apply for a deferment online. The system will now take into account all children under 18, regardless of whether they were born within the current marriage or not.

The application will also check for alimony arrears through the Unified Register of Debtors. A deferment will not be granted if the debt exceeds the amount of three monthly payments or if the data in the registers are outdated.

At the initial stage, the function will be available only to users included in the list of beta testers. After testing is completed, it is planned to make the feature available to all parents of large families in the “Reserve+” application.
