The Sumy Regional Organisation of the Ukrainian Red Cross, together with the Regional Youth Council at the Sumy Regional State Administration and the Sumy City District Organisation, organised a blood donation campaign in Sumy to mark Valentine’s Day.
Volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross, students and active young people from the region took part in the initiative. Twenty people donated blood, six of whom were first-time donors.
Organisers emphasised that such campaigns help replenish blood supplies and promote a culture of voluntary blood donation among young people.
During the event, participants discussed joint initiatives, the development of civic engagement and opportunities for implementing projects in the Sumy region. They also learned more about the volunteer activities of the Ukrainian Red Cross and its youth programme “Humanitarian Education”.
