Ukraine’s first robotics laboratory, RoboLab, has opened at Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture. This was announced by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

The laboratory has over 30 workstations with specialised equipment, including:

  • mechatronics kits;
  • two robotic arms;
  • 3D printers and scanners;
  • robotic platforms;
  • digital tools for 3D modelling, engineering design and prototyping.

Students, postgraduates and teachers will be able to work on real robotic solutions, test ideas and develop projects using artificial intelligence technologies.

The laboratories are open not only to university students, but also to students from other educational institutions, which should facilitate the exchange of experience and joint innovative activities.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation noted that this is a pilot project, which in the future is planned to be scaled up to other regions and universities.

The project is being implemented by the Association of Robotics and Automated Systems at the initiative of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Support was provided by the Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund, as well as Ajax Systems, Deus Robotics, and Profi Robotics.
