The book “Life on the Edge: Ukraine, Culture and War” by Ukrainian authors Volodymyr Yermolenko and Tetiana Oharova has been published in French by Gallimard, France’s largest independent publishing house. Volodymyr Yermolenko announced this on his Instagram page.

This book is the result of the authors’ journalistic and volunteer trips around Ukraine during the full-scale war, in which they sought to gain a deeper understanding of the realities of the Russian-Ukrainian war and its impact on basic human values.

The publication combines philosophical reporting with an analytical view of the transformations that Ukrainian society is undergoing in the context of war.

The book was published in Ukrainian by the publishing house “Dukh i Litera” in 2025. The French translation was done by Louise Henri.

The presentation of the French edition is scheduled for today, February 12, in Paris, with the participation of the authors and journalist Florence Obénas. The approximate cost of the book in France is about €22.
