In Ukraine, the Unified Web Portal for Healthcare Job Vacancies has been launched. According to the legislation, it is required to be used for selecting candidates for positions in state and municipal medical institutions, especially when choosing leaders. However, this requirement does not apply to private medical facilities, healthcare institutions managed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, military formations, and special law enforcement agencies.
The portal’s functionality allows for posting job vacancies in medical institutions, searching for jobs, applying for advertised positions, and posting announcements about the results of conducted competitions, among other things. Information on the portal can be posted by leaders and authorized persons of healthcare institutions, as well as members of competition committees that include representatives of management bodies. These individuals must undergo an electronic identification and authentication procedure and create a personal account. Candidates for positions can also register on the site.
The Unified Web Portal is designed to digitize the process of job searching in healthcare institutions. Thanks to it:
- It enhances the convenience of employment and accessibility of job vacancies. Healthcare workers will be able to easily find current job openings, and healthcare institutions will be able to effectively and quickly meet their staffing needs.
- It reduces the time and effort required for employment.
- It improves the quality and transparency of the recruitment process.
- It decreases the shortage of staff in the healthcare sector.
- It optimizes the process of determining staffing needs and shaping the volume of state orders for training healthcare specialists.
- It eliminates existing corruption risks in the employment process for medical institutions and minimizes instances of corruption within the workforce.
