Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross rapid response team in Donetsk region, together with police officers from the White Angels special unit, carried out the evacuation of civilians and their pets to safer areas.
The evacuation took place from the town of Mykolaivka, located approximately 7 kilometres from the demarcation line.
Due to the constant threat of shelling, people were forced to leave their homes, taking only the most necessary items along with their pets.
The Liman branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross provided special carriers to ensure the safe transport of the animals.
