The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a decision on the distribution of state subsidies for the completion of 22 shelters in general secondary education institutions throughout the country.
UAH 231.1 million has been allocated for this purpose. The funds will be directed to local budgets to complete the construction of shelters, work on which began in 2023-2025.
The implementation of projects to complete the construction of school shelters is ongoing in 11 regions of Ukraine. As of now, the readiness of most facilities exceeds 60%.
It is expected that the completion of construction work will increase the level of safety for students and teachers in the event of emergencies, hostilities, or other threats.
In total, in 2026, the state has allocated UAH 5 billion in subsidies for the construction of shelters in general secondary education institutions.
