Russia attacked Ukraine with drones overnight – there are dead and wounded

On the night of February 9, Russian troops carried out a massive attack with strike drones on several regions of Ukraine. The Kharkiv, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk regions were hit.

In the Kharkiv region, a Russian drone struck a residential area of the city of Bohodukhiv. The strike hit a residential building, which was completely destroyed. A fire broke out on an area of about 50 square meters, which was extinguished by rescuers.

The bodies of a woman and a 10-year-old boy were recovered from the rubble. Three other people suffered injuries of varying severity.

That same night, the enemy attacked Odesa. As a result of the drone strike, a man died, whom medics were unable to save despite resuscitation efforts. According to the State Emergency Service, two more people were injured.

The attack also caused a fire, with cars and a gas pipe burning. Damage was reported to a 24-story residential building, passenger cars, a fitness club, and windows of surrounding buildings. At another address, a three-story non-residential building was destroyed.

More than 50 rescuers and 13 pieces of equipment were involved in dealing with the aftermath, and psychologists from the State Emergency Service also worked at the scene.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the Synelnykivsky district was hit. In the village of Shakhtarsk, nine people were injured as a result of a drone attack, including a 13-year-old girl.

A three-story residential building was damaged, catching fire and destroying the roof and floors. In another apartment building, windows were broken and a garage burned down.

In the Vasylkiv community, three private houses were damaged by strikes.

The State Emergency Service reported that all fires were extinguished by its units.
