In 2025, with the support of the Individual Support and Comprehensive Assistance Program for military personnel, veterans, and their families—implemented by a Ukrainian agricultural holding—pottery classes were held in nine medical facilities. About 250 service members participated in the project, including those recovering from injuries or returning from captivity.
Working with clay helps develop fine motor skills, reduce stress, and supports psychological rehabilitation and social adaptation of veterans in group settings.
“Pottery has become an effective tool for recovery—both physical and emotional,” said Vladyslava Dmytryshyna, coordinator for military and veteran engagement.
The Individual Support and Comprehensive Assistance Program for military personnel, veterans, and their families is implemented by the international agro-food company MHP. The program is designed to support people during service, upon returning from war, and during adaptation to civilian life. It is available to both MHP employees and residents of the communities where the company operates.
