“Own Business” and “Grants for Veterans” Programs Start Regular Operations in 2026

From February 4, 2026, the “Own Business” and “Grants for Veterans” programs are operating in a regular format. They support the launch or development of small businesses, and applications are now open on the Diia portal, according to the press services of the Ministry of Economy and the State Employment Service.

Priority support remains for veterans, combatants, people with war-related disabilities, and their families. A new feature allows family members of fallen or missing defenders of Ukraine to receive grants up to UAH 1 million if they create jobs. Grant amounts have also been increased, additional funding is available for those who successfully completed previous projects, and the list of authorized banks has expanded (PrivatBank, OschadBank, SENS Bank).

The programs offer different types of grants: microgrants for starting a business, youth grants, grants for veterans and people with disabilities, as well as grants for preschool education and creative industries. Amounts range from UAH 100,000 to 1 million, depending on the number of jobs created, experience, and co-financing. Special conditions are provided for frontline regions and young entrepreneurs.

To receive a grant, applicants need to submit an application and business plan via Diia, complete an online interview, sign a contract with an authorized bank, and open a dedicated account for the grant funds. The money can then be used according to its intended purpose to start or grow a business.

Specialists from the State Employment Service provide free consultations and support to entrepreneurs. For inquiries, contact the hotline at 1518. Since 2022, 35,000 grants have been funded and 50,000 jobs created.
