In Kyiv, the cleanup of snowfall has been ongoing since last night, with 258 units of special equipment from Kyivavtodor deployed on the city’s streets. This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.
Workers are clearing main roads, bridges, overpasses, as well as descents and ascents, where snow accumulation can complicate traffic and pedestrian movement.
In addition to mechanised equipment, 408 workers in 61 teams are involved in manually clearing pedestrian areas – bus stops, pavements, stairs and crossings where large machines cannot operate.




The areas around buildings are also being cleared by employees of municipal management companies, while snow in parks and squares is being cleared by workers from Kyivzelenbud: 66 pieces of equipment and 677 employees have been mobilised.
It is noted that municipal services are also treating road surfaces with anti-icing agents.
According to weather forecasters’ predictions, 5 February in the capital will be cloudy, with light snow possible in some places, and temperatures will drop to 4-6 degrees below zero. Black ice is possible on the roads.
