Ukrainian researchers can participate in ongoing Dutch research projects as part of the second round of the NWO-NRFU Hop-On Call grant competition.
The initiative is being implemented by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) in partnership with the National Research Fund of Ukraine (NRFU).
The aim of the competition is to encourage qualified Ukrainian researchers to participate online in NWO projects and to expand their professional network in the Dutch scientific community.
The NWO project team provides advice, mentoring and other support to individual researchers from Ukraine.
Applications for the competition are submitted by the leaders of Dutch NWO projects through the ISAAC system, and Ukrainian researchers must be co-applicants in the project. Applications can be submitted via this link.
In this round, each Ukrainian higher education institution or research institution can receive up to two grants.
Funding provides up to €30,000 per researcher, including basic support of up to €1,250 per month and up to €375 per month for material expenses.
The deadline for applications is 23 June 2026.
