Russia shelled a bus in the Dnipropetrovsk region, killing 12 people

On 1 February 2026, in the Pavlohrad district of Dnipropetrovsk region, a Russian drone struck a company bus. At least 12 people were killed and another 16 were injured in the attack.

The strike occurred near the town of Ternivka as the bus was transporting miners after their shift at the DTEK mine. Fourteen of the injured remain in hospital, seven of them in serious condition.

Today, 2 February, in Ternivka and throughout the Dnipropetrovsk region, a day of mourning for the victims has been declared. Communities are lowering national flags and honouring the memory of those who died.
