The Ukrainian diaspora in Italy has raised over €200,000 to support regions of Ukraine where Russian attacks have caused power supply problems, as part of the SOS – RISCALDIAMO L’UCRAINA (“SOS – Let’s Warm Ukraine”) campaign. This was reported by the Strichka Coordination Platform.
The campaign is running from 21 to 31 January 2026 under the patronage of the Ukrainian Embassy in Italy with the active participation of local associations and citizens.
The initiative aims to quickly purchase generators and batteries to provide light, heating and basic services to Ukrainians in regions where there is no stable electricity supply.
The initial fundraising goal of €100,000 was achieved in less than two days, and thanks to the community’s efforts and the generosity of Europeans, the amount has already exceeded €200,000.
A special working group, made up of activists who organised the fundraiser, is already processing requests from Kyiv and the surrounding region in order to deliver aid quickly. The fundraiser will continue until Saturday: every contribution today means light and warmth for Ukrainians tomorrow.

The Strichka coordination platform noted that the campaign organisers in Italy are independently purchasing equipment and arranging its direct delivery to Ukraine.
