Hot water supply will be temporarily suspended in Chernihiv from 30 January 2026. This was reported by the municipal enterprise Teplokomunenergo.
This decision was made due to a shortage of thermal power resulting from Russian attacks on critical infrastructure, as well as taking into account the predicted sharp drop in air temperature.
Due to the company’s limited resources, it is impossible to simultaneously provide hot water and heating to residential buildings, so all available capacity will be directed towards heating to keep residents’ homes warm.
The technical services of Teplokomunenergo, together with energy specialists, are working intensively to stabilise the situation and restore full service as soon as possible.
