Changes to “eOselya”: Youth Can Now Buy Housing with Half the Standard Down Payment

In line with the President of Ukraine’s directive, the government has approved significant changes to the ‘eOselya’ program, which will greatly ease conditions for young Ukrainians wishing to purchase their own homes. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

Under the new rules, the down payment for mortgages will be reduced to 10% for citizens aged 25 and under. According to government officials, this decision will be a major incentive for young families, providing them with greater opportunities to buy property and secure their well-being.

The ‘eOselya’ program has already proven to be an effective tool in supporting families in need of affordable housing. To date, over 12,000 Ukrainian families have benefited from this program. Among them are military personnel, law enforcement officers, educators, healthcare professionals, and scientists, demonstrating the program’s broad applicability to various groups of citizens.

The new initiative aims to enable even more young people to take advantage of the program, which will undoubtedly contribute to the development of the housing market and improve the quality of life in Ukraine.
