Beginning journalists can receive scholarships and mentoring from JÁDU

The online magazine Goethe-Institut JÁDU, together with PERSPECTIVES, has launched a mentoring programme for aspiring journalists, which includes three months of mentoring, weekly meetings with experienced journalists and the opportunity to publish articles in the international media outlet JÁDU.

Participants will receive a monthly stipend of €700 and will be able to attend a three-day offline training course in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Estonia, Lithuania or Poland.

The programme is aimed at journalists who:

  • have experience in media or storytelling;
  • are willing to cover the lives of young people outside of large cities;
  • speak Ukrainian, English, German, Czech or Slovak.

During the programme, participants will also be able to attend international editorial meetings, work on materials for publication and cover research costs.

Applications can be submitted via the link until 1 February 2026 at 23:59 Kyiv time.

The programme is co-funded by the EU.
