Ukrzaliznytsia has launched its first invincibility point for passengers in the Polish city of Chełm. Over a hundred people used it on its first day of operation.
Special heated carriages have been installed at the station, which is served by five pairs of passenger trains from Ukraine.
One of the carriages is equipped with a play area for children, separate areas for feeding and changing babies, colouring books and drawing sets.
There are also devices for recharging gadgets, and passengers are treated to hot tea.

The second carriage displays part of Howard Buffett’s collection of photographs, which was previously part of the Art Train. The carriages are located on platform 3 of the station.
Due to the reconstruction of the station building, which has been ongoing since 2024, passengers are forced to wait for their trains outside, especially in winter.
Trains from Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Kyiv run to Chełm. The station is also a transfer hub for connections to Berlin, Warsaw, Łódź, Poznań, and other destinations.
Approximately three thousand passengers pass through Chełm every day.
