Kyiv Operates 91 Emergency Heating Points, Two More Large Facilities Planned

Kyiv currently has 91 emergency heating points operated by the State Emergency Service. They are located between residential buildings across the city’s neighborhoods. The facilities are open to support residents during cold weather and heating disruptions.

“We are additionally deploying two large heating points, each covering 700 square meters,” Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said, Humanitarian Media Hub reports.

At the heating points, people can warm up and receive hot drinks. They can also charge their mobile devices and use communication services.

According to the minister, decisions to open additional heating points will be made based on the situation on the ground. Authorities will consider the number of people and actual needs in each area.

Tents and modular pneumatic structures have already been prepared across the city. The heating points operate around the clock and will remain open until the situation stabilizes.
