The Food Train mobile kitchen train has begun operating in communities in the Kyiv region that have been affected by shelling. In a day and a half, the team delivered 9,107 hot meals to people who were left without electricity, water, heating, and communication.

Support is being provided to residents of the affected communities, as well as railway workers and repair crews involved in restoring heat and dealing with the aftermath of the attacks. Food Train operates in the Bucha district with the support of the Howard G. Buffett Foundation. Locally, residents receive ready-made portions and organise further delivery within their communities. Next to the mobile kitchens, heated tents have been set up where people can eat, drink hot tea and warm up.

The initiative aims to provide rapid assistance where basic infrastructure has been damaged. Food Train continues to deliver support to the areas of greatest need, while passenger trains run on schedule.
